A real changing of the guard is about to happen in Montreal on Monday afternoon.
Bob Gainey, who has been the Canadiens' general manager since 2003, is expected to step down from his post.
He thrilled and sometimes befuddled fans with his moves, and gave Habs fans reason to hope for a Stanley Cup celebration during the team's centennial celebrations, but ultimately the team never got over the hump. During Gainey's tenure Montreal never advanced past the second round of the playoffs.
Now it's time to have your say. Is Gainey's call to step down as Canadiens GM the right move? What will you remember most about his tenure? Which moves did you like the most? Which ones infuriated you to no end?
Post your comment and let your voice be heard.
