Another Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman has bolted after the team's Stanley Cup win, as free agent Rob Scuderi has signed with the Los Angeles Kings for four years, the team announced on Thursday.
The deal is worth a reported $13.6 million US.
The 30-year-old was Pittsburgh's top penalty killer, and was part of the Penguins' top shut-down defensive pairing.
His partner on that unit, Hal Gill, left for Montreal when NHL free agency opened on Wednesday.
Scuderi had 16 points in 81 games last season, and added a goal and four assists during Pittsburgh's Stanley Cup run.
The American was selected by the Penguins in the fifth round of the 1998 NHL draft.
It's the Kings' first free agent signing this off-season.
