Magic's Turkoglu named NBA's most improved player

After a resurgent season with the Orlando Magic, forward Hedo Turkoglu has been named the NBA's most improved player.
Turkoglu, 29, received the award on Monday after garnering 380 points, including 61 first-place votes.
Second-year guard Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzlies was second with 167 points and 23 first-place votes, while fellow Portland Trail Blazers sophomore forward LaMarcus Aldridge was third with 128 points and nine first-place votes.
Turkoglu, in his eighth NBA season, averaged a career-high 19.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 5.0 assists per game.
Last season with the Magic, the Turkish forward averaged 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
