Josh Fogg resurfaces with Reds

Free-agent pitcher Josh Fogg agreed to a one-year contract with the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fogg, 31, posted a 10-9 record with a 4.94 earned-run average in 30 appearances (29 starts) with the National League champion Colorado Rockies last season.

The right-hander started Colorado's sudden-death victory over the San Diego Padres and Game 3 of the World Series, won by the Boston Red Sox.

Fogg is 60-60 lifetime with a 4.90 ERA and two saves in 197 appearances (179 starts) over seven major-league seasons with the Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates and Rockies.

He will likely battle Matt Belisle, Homer Bailey and Edinson Volquez for one of three spots in Cincinnati's starting rotation behind incumbents Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo.
