It was a rockin' performance by American Craig Billmeier — nickname Hot Lixx Hulahan — who triumphed at the annual world air guitar championships in Finland this year.

"The two-year reigning Air Guitar champion, Japan's Ochi 'Dainoji' Yosuke had to give in to the overwhelming new champion," organizers said in a statement that lauded Hot Lixx's "impeccable timing and overall solid performance."
Clad in tight black pants, satin shirt and armbands, Hot Lixx Hulahan — an homage to the sexy nurse in the M*A*S*H movie and TV series — obliterated the competition on Friday in the western city of Oulu.
His prize was a Finnish handmade transparent Flying Finn electric guitar.
Performers have strutted and strummed on non-existent instruments during the Oulu Music Video Festival since 1996.
In the two-part final round, participants get to do a song of their choosing for one minute. Then they have to improvise to a song chosen by the judges.
The winner is chosen for his or her ability to travel the stage playing the air guitar as realistically as possible.
